Un petit tableau extraordinaire et coloré,
en bois et fil.Il s'agit d'une pièce d'artisanat mexicain,
vintage, qui fait revivre les traditions ancestrales
des Huichol, peuple natif américain.Le tableau est carré, et la technique est celle du
collage de fil, ce qui est fait très minutieusement,
et de manière complexe. Les couleurs sont inspirées
par les visions que les Huichol avaient lors de la prise
du Peyote, le cactus hallucinogène. On les a appelé
également les Peyote people.Le tableau est signé par l'artiste, et le message au
dos est celui-ci =
"El rey venado, con sus ofrendas necesarias,
listo para ser sacrificado" (Le roi cerf, avec ses
offrandes nécessaires; prêt pour le sacrifice).
Ce tableau provient de la ville d'Oaxaca,
ou une communauté de femmes fait revivre les
traditions artisanales locales, mais il a été fabriqué à
Jalisco, au Mexique. Il y a un cachet qui authentifie sa
provenance, au dos.N'hésitez pas si vous avez des questions !

Il n'y a pas de crochet au dos de ce tableau.
Je recommande de le fixer au mur à l'aide de petits
crochets qui le soutiennent, 2 en dessous et 1 au
dessus, ainsi vous n'aurez pas à coller quelque chose
dessus, ni à le percer. (Aïe).

EL REY VENADO Tableau multicolore Huichol en bois et fil, artisanat mexicain
This is a wonderful piece of Mexican handicraft,
recalling ancient native traditions.It's a square tableau, representing a deer or an elk.
The technique is glued thread, and it's very carefully
and intricately made.The frame is wooden, and the artist has signed it
and left the title at the back :"El rey venado, con sus ofrendas necesarias, listo para
ser sacrificado" (The king elk, with its necessary offerings,
ready to be sacrificed)This is a representation of indigenous practices early
in Mexico, before the colonization by the Spanish, of the
Huichol people, an indigenous people of central America.
The colorful yarn paintings they make are inspired by the
visions they had when consuming the hallucinogenic cactus
Peyote, hence they were called Peyote people.This tableau comes from Oaxaca, where a community of
women keep the Mexican handicraft traditions alive, but
it was made in Jalisco, Mex.

There's no hanging device, so you'll have to figure that
out !! I recommend to hang it by supporting it with small
hooks into the wall, 2 at the bottom and one at the top, so
that you don't have to glu anything on the piece or pierce it.
