Une magnifique Aftabeh haute en cuivre ou en laiton,
avec motifs frappés artisanaux, origine de fabrication
inconnue mais provenant du Maroc.
C'est une pièce vintage, qui m'a été apportée par une famille
marocaine de mon village.
Ce ne sont pas des objets récents, mais bien antiques, qui ont voyagé avec cette famille lors de leur installation en France.
C'est une authentique pièce vintage du Maroc, décorative, il s'agit d'une aftaba ou aftabeh, un objet qui sert pour les ablutions.
Je n'ai pas osé les briquer, car je sais que cela changera leur couleur, et leur état actuel est très beau, avec la patine du temps.
J'ai deux pièces identiques, ce listing est pour une seule pièce.

Objet vintage AFTABA du Maroc pour décor oriental
Antique AFTABA, chiseled golden metal (one)
This is a magnificent Aftabeh or Aftaba, from Morocco. It's made of copper or brass, with stamped hand crafted pattern on the body of the teapot.
This is a vintage piece, that landed to me from a Moroccan family from Casablanca, that settled in my village in France.
They didn't know exactly where the item was made. The pair that I have are not recent items, but real antiques, that have travelled with this family when they came to settle in France.
This is an authentic Moroccan piece, best used for home decor. It's used for purposes of washing hands, in Arabian tradition. You added the water at the top, where the attached lid is.
I daren't polish them, because I know it will change their color, and waste the wonderful aged color they have now, the patina of time.
I have two identical pieces, this listing is for just one.
